My wonderful darling lover Amelie, says that my anthology of work is like a box of costumes – so I think I will now forever be Soph’s Costume Box – an ever-expanding array of characters and disciplines, where you dig for a wig and find a video game you haven’t played since 2009. She of course, is always a massive inspiration for me so it is no doubt that she's been at the core for parts of this site.
Website makers and pre-template platforms have been feeling uninspiring throughout this process, so I decided to code and upon doing research I found my favourite website EVER and the main inspiration (I copied a bunch of their sick code) for this site:

This gay, molecular biologist has stolen my heart with their retro look! It's full of some of the same things I love and of course a whole lot more. Their page is full of other cool websites, pictures, reviews, histories of science(!!!), music, art, bugs and more! This page truly opened my eyes up to all the possibilities of what my website could look like, and how as an artist I can take charge of my online presence – especially my home page.
So in true Soph fashion, since visiting that site, I’ve been teaching myself how to code using the ‘inspect’ feature and random online resources (thank you W3Schools), and I'd like to think I'm doing a pretty good job - it's a skill I didn't know I needed, and now I think I'll code more things!
